Taegukgi Hwinallimyo is a 2004 South Korean war film directed by Kang Je-gyu. It tells the story about the effect of the Korean War on two brothers. Most positive reviews cite its unflinching portrayal of war and praise it for showing the brutality of both the North and South Korean armies *really agree with this, this movie just ‘wow!’. Played by Jang Dong Gun & Won Bin, you can wondering how good this movie will be with these 2 handsome man^^b. Jang Dong Gun’s acting is deep *especially his eyes arghhh >.<*, while Won Bin’s acting is interesting…in the beginning he looks like a weak lil brother while when go to last and last part he became strong & ‘wow’ again…
Actually the one I love from this movie that a brother can really love & care his lil brother like that. In this era some people fight over each other for materials in their family, even some of them can kill their own brother/sister. It’s really pitiful…A brother, a sister, some brothers, some sisters, we bring the same blood. “Is that for your country or your brother?” I keep in mind that line…It’s difficult in the war when people starve, wounded etc…it will be better if a war ended. But when will it? Till now we can see some war actually still go on. A war bring too many wounded heart for the families who lost their beloved one. I just hope this world will be better for a living place.
Back to the movie, the set really really awesome! Just wondering how much the cost…they bring their best. The music is simple but really touching. From this movie we can know how’s the feeling & impact from this war…We can see the brutality, the struggling of people and ultimately the brotherhood. I think if you have brother or sister, take care of them well because we don’t know what will happen next. So let’s live for a better now & future, goodluck :).

“Tae Guk Gi” is a fictional story of two brothers, Jin Tae (Jang Dong Gun) and Jin Seok (Won Bin), who are unwillingly drafted into the South Korean army following the outbreak of the Korean War in June 1950. Young Shin (Lee Eun-Joo), Jin Tae’s fiancé, makes their situation even more miserable by joining the communist party to get food for the rest of the family.
The stronger of the two brothers, shoeshine boy Jin Tae, makes it his life’s mission to keep his weaker younger brother Jin Seok safe from any danger. The only way to do that was to win a medal of honor. Motivated by the promise of a superior officer that if he wins the medal, his brother will be sent home, Jin Tae fights fearlessly and becomes a great warrior. However, upon winning the Medal, the younger brother Jin-seok Lee (Bin Won) refuses to go, seeing that Jin-tae has taken to liking combat a bit ‘too much’. He resents the fact that his brother no longer fights to help their family, but fights because he enjoys killing…But in the fact…*so, you must watch the movie to know the continuation!^^*
